Over 2,000 hours of sunshine and less than ten inches of rain a year, Tobiano's dry hot summers and crisp winter days create one of the most desirable climates in the country.  

Summers are long and dry. Winters are short but welcome, turning backcountry lakes and trails into a winter playground.  

The semi-desert climate at Tobiano sustains rolling hills of grasslands, wild sagebrush, ponderosa pine and prickly pear cactus - a dramatic contrast from the rugged mountains of the Rockies and the humid rainforest of the Pacific coast.
